Visit the Amazon Rain Forest! Turn your Spanish learning into an unforgettable experience through an ideal combination of professional language teaching and adventure at Cabanas Anaconda, a resort on Anaconda Island. It is one of the most beautiful places in the Ecuadorian rainforest. This program uses a system of Ecotourism where great effort is made to preserve the jungle from destruction while providing work for the native staff.
The program lasts one week and includes four hours per day of tutoring in small groups. Each group is directed by a teacher from our staff and contains 3-5 students. Students are matched according to skill level. There are daily excursions that allow you to learn about and enjoy the ecology and culture of the rainforest. The language teacher, as well as one of a group of local guides who speak Spanish and Quichua, will take part in all the excursions and activities of the program.
Participation in the program is recommended for your last week of Spanish study at the Academia de Espanol, so you will be at your most advanced level of Spanish proficiency, and can benefit most from the program. Excursions include: Getting to Know Anaconda Island, Trip to the High Jungle, Visiting Native Families off the Island, River Raft Excursions, and Gold Panning on the Rio Napo.
