CELAS Maya attracts students of all different ages and professions. We are able to effectively work with students of various backgrounds and interests because of our one-on-one policy. All students will have their own instructor, chosen for them according to their needs as a Spanish student and also their interests or professional background.

The school is a beautiful colonial house with a large garden area where students usually choose to study. Classes are centred around the garden or students choose to visit parks, cafés, museums and other points of interest with their teacher. In just a few weeks, students are able to understand simple tenses and hold a conversation in Spanish. Advanced students are able to discuss more complex tenses while deepening their knowledge of Guatemalan culture using the Spanish language itself.
